Collage with Clara

I wanted to get away from mark making with media and introduce Clara to collage.  The materials in this piece were simple.  Torn tissue paper, wax paper, glue stick and black pastel paper.  I assisted with the glueing a bit, but she tore the pieces and did the arranging herself.  It's a simple an inexpensive way of crreating art with your child.

I was glad I bought along my sketchbook last Saturday. It can be interesting people watching and when you are sketching them the time goes by quickly.

Finally! An artist that doesn't take her work so seriously!  I don't give her direction (besides lets draw which she usually says no! )and always leave out a sketchbook and oil pastels, markers, and slix sticks.

Clara Art : Purple Princess

Clara is starting to name her scribbles or describe objects within her work. This piece is named "Purple Princess".

The bouncer is an old  memory now that Calem is crawling everywhere and was a great help in keep Calem entertained while trying to do a house chore, task or chasing Clara.
