Clara's first official painting

This is Clara's first official painting. I introduced Clara to painting with a brush last week.She was excited to try something new and to mix paint for the first time. It took  some careful set up of my easel, dropcloth, and putting on Clara's paint shirt. I noticed the smell of the paints,  a nontoxic crayola brand, took me immediately back to my elementary art classroom. It's amazing how  the sense of  smell can renew fond memories.

Mural, mural on the wall - almost finished

Well our baby boy arrived on New's Eve day and I didn't quite get the mural finished to my entire liking.  I will have to somehow find the time to complete the work.
