From the sketchbook

This sketch is from one of those late exhausting nights, where I force myself to draw.  Sometimes I'm lucky and I do something that I consider a success but more often not. I like this drawing, although I could have been better about the sighting and  have greater range of values.  But this study is something that could springboard into the painting. I think leaving the face without detail adds interest and intrigue.
