Lots of dog training

I've been spending the good past two weeks reading up on dog training philosophies. I'm attempting to get my pooch Picaso obedient. One problem we are having is Picaso having fits while on leash toward strange dogs in the neighborhood. He displays what appears to be an agressive attitude, but it's in part out of frustration from being contrained by the leash. It has been challenging and frustrating, and progress is slow but I have a trainer I'm working with who we have made great progress. Picaso now heels, sits, stays, and comes when recalled.

This post I have included a small sketch of an upcoming painting I'm working on. The sketch is a thumbnail 2x 2 inches. These littel thumbnails allow me to map out the values and get a sense of where I'm taking the painting.

Seattle in a few days

I'm looking forward to spending a few days in Seattle this week. It will be nice to spend some time with friends and hang out the artist run volunteer gallery where I was active. Seattle represents a chapter in my life where I took a risk and left my roots in Iowa. It was six years of good memories.

This is now up for auction on Ebay. So keep an eye and make a bid if you like something.

I have to laugh a bit when I first heard of catfish noodling. Being from small town rural Iowa, I definitely can relate to the individuals that would brave or stupid enough to noodle. :)
